What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of mind, often described as a state between sleeping and waking up. It is a state where the subconscious mind is easily reached and the person is more open to new ideas and patterns of thinking. It is the same mental state achieved during meditation where you are totally in control and aware of what’s happening.

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes, hypnosis is safe, so long as it is practiced by a properly trained and qualified therapist. Dealing with the mind should be left in the hands of a competent practitioner. The practitioner guides the client in resolving issues and bringing about changes thru the person’s mind. When choosing a hypnotherapist, make sure you check the practitioner’s qualifications.

Is clinical hypnosis the same as stage hypnosis?

Although both deal with the mind, the two are different in the application. Clinical hypnotherapy aims to deal with resolving clinical issues while stage hypnosis aims to entertain people.

What's the difference between traditional and modern hypnotherapy?

Traditional hypnotherapy primarily uses authoritative approach while modern hypnotherapy uses the passive approach, which is 3X more effective. Modern hypnotherapy also focuses on solutions customized to each individual’s need as compared to just reading a script.

Is hypnosis effective?

Will I lose control when under hypnosis?

No. You are always in control and are aware of everything that’s happening around you throughout the hypnosis session. The hypnotherapist is there to guide you. Think of it in terms of driving using a GPS.  You are on the wheel, you want to get to a destination but you find yourself driving around or keep getting onto the wrong path. The hypnotherapist guides you to the right direction, but you are in control of the wheel and where the car goes.

Is hypnosis the same as sleeping?

No. Hypnosis is a relaxed state of mind where you are aware of everything that’s happening.

Is hypnotherapy for me?

Hypnotherapy is for you if:
